‘I refuse to die’: Couple saved from Valencia fire hail dramatic rescue

A couple from Valencia, Spain, are counting their lucky stars after a dramatic rescue saved them from a devastating fire that engulfed their home. The couple, Pedro and Maria, were trapped inside their burning house when firefighters arrived just in time to pull them to safety.

“I refuse to die,” Maria exclaimed as she was rescued from the flames. The couple had been asleep when the fire broke out, but thankfully they were able to escape unharmed thanks to the quick actions of the firefighters.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but Pedro and Maria are grateful to be alive. “We owe our lives to those brave firefighters who risked their own safety to save us,” Pedro said.
